OCIA for children ages 7 to 17 years

Order of Christian Initiation of Adults
 Adapted for Children and Youth (OCIC)

OCIC is open to any child/youth between 7 -17 years old, 
 in 2nd -12th Grades, who are not
 Baptized, and have expressed a desire to become Catholic.

The Order of Christian Initiation for Adults adapted for Children (OCIC) is designed to prepare children who are not Baptized, to become fully initiated members of the Catholic Church.

OCIC is a process that prepares Elementary age children for receiving the Sacraments of Initiation:

• Baptism
• Eucharist 
• Confirmation

It is a two year process with the first year being a foundational year in their grade level Faith Formation Program (KIDs Club/EDGE/Life Teen or Catholic School). The second year will be focused on the Sacraments, Prayer, the Creed and Moral Life. At the end of the second year children receive the Sacraments of Initiation during the Easter Vigil.
