Praying with Icons
Through the generosity of Isabel Creixell, artist/iconographer, we will offer the opportunity for you to spend time praying with Icons. this is an ancient prayer practice that involves keeping our eyes wide open, taking into our heart what the image visually communicates. praying with icons offers the opportunity to spend time in silence, solitude and simplicity. allowing yourself to come closer to god. the Icons will be located in the Bridal Room in the Church (next to women’s bathroom) you can sign up to seat before an icon and meditate. the sign up is divided in periods of 30-minutes, but you do not need to stay for the whole time and you can sign up for more than one slot at a time. you can drop by and if here are spaces available you are welcome to stay.
