Fr. Dan Noll is a native of Villa Hills, Kentucky. The spirit of resilience and joy is embodied by Fr. Dan Noll, a beloved priest whose warmth and humor leave a lasting impression on all he meets. Though officially retired, Fr. Dan was called by Bishop John Stowe to continue serving the Diocese of Lexington as Vicar General. Though he affectionately refers to himself as the “Vicar Generally.” A veteran parish priest who has served communities across the diocese, Fr. Dan brings deep pastoral wisdom and unmistakable joy to his ministry. When asked to close a recent gathering in prayer at St. Ann’s mission in Kentucky, Fr. Dan did not simply recite a prayer; he sang one in a beautiful Irish tenor. As St. Augustine reminds us, to sing is to pray twice. Those present were convinced that when the “Vicar Generally” sings, the prayer is multiplied many times over. We left lifted, carried on the wings of his song.
