The Knights of Columbus Blood Drive

The Knights of Columbus Council at St. Cecilia is organizing a blood drive on Saturday, April 10 in the Parking Lot of 911 Bunker Hill Bishop Vincent M. Rizzotto Building. The blood drive will take place in a mobile unit that belongs to the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Blood donors are highly encouraged to make appointments to donate. As of June 15, 2020, Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center (GCRBC) is testing now all blood donations for the COVID-19 antibody. This test will be performed in addition to the standard testing all blood donations received. In response to Governor Greg Abbott rescinding the statewide mask mandate, GCRBC will continue to require face masks at all locations. The GCRBC will maintain all existing COVID-19 safety protocols. These requirements are consistent with the advice and recommendations of health professionals and guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
