Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
Adapted for Children and Youth (RCIA adapted for children)

 
The Rite of Christian Initiation for Children (RCIC) is designed to prepare children who are not Baptized, to become fully initiated members of the Catholic Church.

RCIC is open to any child between 7 -10 years old,  in 2nd -5th Grades, who are not
Baptized, and have expressed a desire to become Catholic.

RCIC is a process that prepares Elementary age children for receiving the Sacraments of Initiation:

• Baptism
• Eucharist
• Confirmation

It is a two year process with the first year being a foundational year. The second year will be focused on the Sacraments, Prayer, the Creed and the Moral Life. At the end of the second year children receive the Sacraments of Initiation during the Easter Vigil.
